HR Manager

Reports to: Senior Director of HR

Position Location:  Company HQ in Suburban Philadelphia, PA

 

The HR Manager will be responsible for leading HR functions including training and development, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employment compliance. The HR Manager will develop and maintain a deep understanding of the culture and business to effectively align HR programs with organizational strategies.

 

Areas of Responsibility:

 

  • Workforce Planning
  • Facilitate new hire orientation
  • Sustain culture through growth and employee experience
  • Lead Diversity & Inclusion program
  • Manage organization charts and formalize roles and responsibilities across teams
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and talent acquisition to understand workforce growth roadmap, skills and competencies required for current and future needs, assess gaps, and propose HR interventions to address gaps, market shortages, succession planning needs, etc.
  • Performance Management
  • Partner with managers and employees to administer a constructive and timely annual review and job leveling process, goal setting, and new hire analysis
  • Create initiatives to allow for internal development opportunities for employees
  • Address employee and leadership development training as needed.
  • Employee Relations
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and employees regarding sensitive issues, situations, and questions that arise
  • Administer and execute tasks in delicate situations such as providing reasonable accommodations and performing investigations related to allegations of wrongdoing
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Review and develop company policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to human resources, talent management and employment law
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings and terminations
  • Recognize current or potential workplace trends and propose interventions and action plans as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR related experience with progressive responsibility
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional polish
  • Ability to respond appropriately to sensitive issues and situations
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of all sensitive information and documentation
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and to organize, prioritize and deliver tasks and projects with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work within the United States
  • Ability to work out of the Chadds Ford, PA office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HRCI or SHRM certification desired
  • Previous human resource management experience
