With over 30 years of experience, Gordon Logan is a recognized senior leader in the analytical instrumentation and informatics industry. Gordon’s consultancy focus is delivering process and practice which aligns technology deliverables with a sustainable growth advantage. His expertise includes optimizing the deployment of engineering teams, technical parameter reviews, program and product development metrics, strategic funnel management, along with R&D cost management. Gordon was most recently Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at SCIEX, a Danaher operating company and a global leader in mass spectrometry and capillary electrophoresis. For over a decade Gordon was the SVP of Global Research and Development at SCIEX and led the entire product development life cycle; from core research through to launch and field sustainment. He was responsible for a global team of over 400 engineers and scientists and a multi-million-dollar annual budget. Before joining SCIEX, Gordon was the general manager and vice president of the software and informatics business unit at Thermo Fisher (formally Thermo Electron) a world leader in Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) and Chromatography Data Systems (CDS). Gordon holds a M.Sc. in Biotechnology (Biochemical Engineering) from the University of Birmingham, UK, and a PhD in bioreactor scale up and biosensor design and applications from the University of Sunderland, UK.
