Ben Orsburn
Ben is a mass spectrometrist and biologist with over 20 years of experience industry, government, and academia in both research and clinical science. He has spent time in over 170 labs worldwide to develop and troubleshoot applications, primarily in proteomics and metabolomics. He most recently served as principal investigator at Johns Hopkins University where his group applied high throughput and single-cell proteomics to riddles in human pharmacology. Ben has a history of translating research to the routine and is the inventor of multiple ISO 17025-compliant assays. He is most well-known for trying to make mass spectrometry techniques and developments approachable as the founder of LCMSMethods.org, The Open Pesticide Transition Library, the News in Proteomics Research blog, and as cohost of The Proteomics Show podcast.
