Kaveh Kahen, PhD

Dr. Kaveh Kahen is currently the President of Phenomenex, a Danaher company. Phenomenex is a global technology leader in providing novel analytical chemistry solutions that solve the separation and purification challenges of researchers in industrial, clinical, governmental, and academic laboratories. With over 20 years of global experience, Dr. Kahen has demonstrated a strong track record of driving profitable growth in the competitive fields of life sciences, analytical testing, and analytical instrumentation. Dr. Kahen earned his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from The George Washington University and began his career at SCIEX, where he was instrumental in the design and development of novel technologies and instrument platforms. At PerkinElmer, Dr. Kahen headed the Global R&D and later served as the Global General Manager of the Mass Spectrometry business unit, where he played a pivotal role in several successful M&As and introduced new LC-MS/MS and ICP-MS platforms, facilitating the company's entry into the Chinese mass spectrometry market. He is also a co-founder of Sigma Analytical Services in Toronto, Canada, a GMP-accredited laboratory specializing in analytical and R&D services. Before his current role at Danaher, Dr. Kahen led Advion Interchim Scientific as CEO, overseeing the successful integration of Advion and Interchim and achieving above-market growth for three consecutive years. Dr. Kahen is the inventor of 10 US patents and has published and presented more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and invited lectures.
